What data we collect
We collect anonymous visitor data through our own analytics: page views, referring websites, country of origin (derived from IP address but not stored), and device type (mobile, tablet, desktop). We do NOT use third-party cookies, Google Analytics, or similar external trackers. No personally identifiable information such as email addresses, names or precise locations is stored.
Amazon affiliate cookies
When you click from our website to Amazon.nl, Amazon places a cookie for up to 24 hours to link your purchase to our referral. This is the standard Amazon Associates Program mechanism. We have no access to your Amazon account data, shopping cart, or purchase history. If you don't want this cookie, you can disable it in your browser or visit Amazon in private mode.
How we use data
Anonymous visitor statistics are used solely to improve our content, to understand which pages are most visited and which products people click on. We do not sell, share or monetise data to third parties. Our analytics runs on Cloudflare D1 — no data is sent outside the EU.
Data sharing
We do not share personal data with third parties. The only external party that receives data is Amazon.nl, when you click on an affiliate link yourself — in that case, your browser by default shares your IP address, User-Agent and referrer with Amazon (this is how every web browser works). We do not send any additional data to Amazon.
Your rights under GDPR
As a resident of the European Union, under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) you have the right to access, rectify, erase and the right to data portability for your personal data. Since Fietsvergelijk does not store personally identifiable information, this effectively does not apply to us: there is simply nothing linked to you to access or delete.
