Oakley Sutro
Oakley · Premium sportbril met Prizm· €155.00
Our verdict
The definitive premium sport eyewear for Dutch road riders. Style + Prizm tech + Oakley build at €155.
Detailed review
The Oakley Sutro has become the dream sport eyewear for many Dutch road cyclists. The oversized lens gives complete coverage — no cold air on cheeks, no bugs in eyes on a summer Vechtdal route. The Prizm Road lens isn't marketing: it noticeably boosts contrast between asphalt and road markings.
At €155 you expect premium build, and you get it: light 30 g, no-slip nose grooves, frames that last years without distorting. The Sutro is also one of the few Oakleys that fits cleanly under a Kask Protone or POC Ventral without arm interference.
The one limit: Prizm Road is tuned for tarmac, not MTB woods. For Veluwe singletrack, Prizm Trail (€155) or a clear backup lens is better. Versus the 100% Speedcraft (€130) you gain brand cachet and lens tech, lose €25.
Who is this for?
- Road cyclists with premium budget
- Anyone who rides mostly tarmac in NL
- Riders wanting the modern sport look
What to watch out for
- For MTB woods, prefer Prizm Trail lens
- €155 — pricey for occasional riders
