Ursus King 2-poot
Ursus · Budget dubbele standaard· €20.00
Our verdict
A sensible second-choice at €20 if the Jumbo is too pricey. For heavy e-bikes: no, stick with the Jumbo.
Detailed review
The Ursus King is what it claims: the budget Jumbo for riders who want the Ursus name without the height adjustment. €20 not €30, 25 kg not 35 kg. For a regular city bike or a lighter e-bike that's plenty.
The steel build is hefty — 850 g empty — and in practice nearly as stable as the Jumbo in wind. The differences are in finish (slightly coarser powder coat), no adjustment, and a less smooth hinge. None of these will register in daily Dutch use.
For a trekking bike, e-bike under 25 kg or heavy city bike, the King is a fine pick. Beware heavy e-bikes: a Gazelle Chamonix HMS (27-28 kg) blows past the limit and you should jump to the Jumbo. For a standard Batavus Finez or Cortina E-U4: ten euros saved without missing anything.
