Detailed review

The Giant Trance X Advanced E+ 1 is for riders prioritising max range and power over weight savings. The 800Wh battery is the largest in this comparison — realistic 80-120 km in Eco mode, enough for a full Limburg-hills day without recharging. The SyncDrive Pro2 motor (Yamaha-based with Giant tuning) delivers 85 Nm, sufficient for the steepest Cauberg or Vaalserberg climbs.

The Maestro full-suspension platform has been Giant's house design for years and sits at enduro level. 140mm front / 150mm rear gives enough travel for technical Brabant singletrack without overkill for the average Dutch rider. The carbon Trance Advanced frame combines light weight with stiffness.

Trade-off versus the Trek Fuel EXe: you save €500 plus get 60% more range and 35 Nm more motor, but you carry 5 kg more weight. For a worry-free Veluwe trails day this is the more practical pick. For analog feel: take the Trek.
